I rarely feel compelled to essay about my characters 'cause I'm lazy, but this is something that needs addressed, hopefully the sooner, the better.
As you may have noticed, Nagi is... well... to be succinct, Nagi's a little bitch. He's anti-social. He hates humanity as a whole (yes, this means *you*). And really, he wouldn't be put out in the least if everyone in camp were to die in a fire (with the sole exception of Tot, really).
It's pretty obvious from any version of canon that Nagi was picked on and ostracized as a small child. He was probably a street orphan first, and a Catholic orphanage orphan later. As such, he believes most people are basically assholes who will turn on each other at any given opportunity. Paradoxically, he does actually consider the other three members of Schwarz to be his friends (he says this in a drama cd. It's rather hysterically funny actually) - I'm guessing because they're all bound by their hatred of the rest of humanity, I dunno. (either that, or Nagi realizes that they need him as much as he needs them, and are therefore highly unlikely to betray him) Anyway, point being, Nagi basically has the mentality of a high school shooter, if you'll pardon the analogy - you're all bastards, you're all out to get me, so fuck you all I hope you die.
The thing is, as his infatuation with Tot shows, he really probably doesn't have the heart to hate *everyone* on sight. People he somehow deems 'good' will have an easier time from him, and even then it seems that he favors women and girls over males (he still doesn't have any sympathy for Tomoe Sakura - perhaps he thought her commitment to Aya to be truly childish? Or maybe he just thought she was a moron for listening to Schuldich, I dunno). It's even possible that he started out as an overly idealizing young boy, but had his hopes repeatedly dashed by cruel adults and peers around him.
So what does this mean to camp and to your character? Basically, if you approach Nagi, expect him to take a really long while to warm up to your character. Some characters he may not ever warm up to at all (especially if he sees some character fault or if he just deems you a moron). Expect to get snark. Expect him to be nasty (even though he may not always be). If there is something that you OOCly don't want poked at or mentioned, let me know ahead of time, but please don't take his bad attitude personally. I'd also ask that if you don't want your character getting snarked at, or your character is in a state that they can't handle being poked and prodded mercilessly by a stone-cold bastard, please don't reply to him. Also feel free if he approaches your character to let me know OOCly that you can't take it at the time. I won't take it personally - there are times when we all don't want stress in our playing, and Nagi can stress a character out like nobody's business.
